Listening Books, a national charity that provides an audiobook library service to children and adults who struggle to read or hold a book due to an illness, disability or learning difficulty have recently received funding that means they are able to offer a number of FREE memberships to people living in the North West who would struggle to pay our membership fee (ranging from £20 to £45 per year)

About The library
They have a huge range of wonderful fiction and non-fiction suitable for children aged 7 upwards. The library also supports the Curriculum from Key Stage 2 upwards and has a large selection of educational titles and study guides, many of which are unavailable on audio elsewhere. - internet streaming
- downloads which can be transferred to a portable device
- MP3 CDs sent through the post (all postage is included in the membership)
Access to audiobooks can be incredibly beneficial to children who struggle to read allowing them to access the same books as their peers, helping to improve language skills and providing the relaxation and comfort of getting lost in a great story
